Since July 1st, a new procedure to verify the weight of the cargo in containers to be loaded on board a vessel has been launched. Despite some difficulties in communication by the Administration in charge of it, compliance with the requirements of SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea ) will be a definite reality after an adjustment period of three months.
